Moving Right Along

Collin | March 16, 2008

Well things are coming right along on the production of this new show. We are trying to work a deal to film a webisode at Bob’s Red Mill . I was also able to take some still photos at Limbo. It looks as though we will be shooting a pilot episode by the end of the month.

Tiger Food Press

Collin | February 6, 2008

Tiger Food Press I just discovered, is run by my friend Clare Carpenter. I hopped over to the site, and found some really cool posters and great crafted books. This one is my favorite. Definitely worth checking out.

Structure

Collin | February 3, 2008

Well, I have been working all day to try and flush out some structure for “monkus.net”. I think I will make “monkus.net” the portal to all of the amazing things here at Monkus Studios. There are going to be programs that need separate blogs of their own, as well as a main one for my cinematography and editing business.

I have to say, I have found Wordpress to be perfect for this. I am able to fully customize each blog to my liking. I can add features like a shopping cart for sales, to a widget that follows me through my twitter account (look to the right). I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Stepping into the Producers Pool

Collin | January 30, 2008

Here we go. I am putting my toe into the shallow end of the Producers Pool. I have had an idea for a television program for some time now. I have a couple of meetings tomorrow with some people key in making my show come to fruition. I am very excited about the prospect of creating my own half hour show. I cannot go into many details at this time but will be letting you all in on all the excitement as things progress.

After editing and shooting for national television for the last couple of years I have seen and experienced enough of the process to feel confident that I too can create an exciting, and intriguing program worthy of national broadcast. Time to get wet.

Freelance Opportunities

Collin |

Well, things are opening up. I have the new site up and running, and I am now actively searching for more freelance opportunities. I’m working on a new reel today and going to try and have it up later today or tomorrow. I’m really excited about the new reel. Last year I worked on national television projects almost exclusively. I’m really looking forward to this year.
